Mariana graduated with a degree in Architecture and Urban Planning in 2003 from FAU Mackenzie in São Paulo, Brazil, and relocated to Australia in 2007 after undertaking a remarkable journey sailing halfway around the world with her partner.
Throughout her travels, Mariana lived in various locations, which broadened her understanding of diverse cultures and their unique architectural practices. She has gained experience working alongside architects in Brazil, New Zealand, and Australia and is particularly passionate about residential architecture. Since settling in Australia, Mariana has actively participated in numerous architecture workshops and conferences, collaborating with architects and building designers primarily on distinctive residential design projects.
Before founding her own studio, Mariana spent seven years working in partnership with Will Collins at Arco Designs, focusing on high-end residential designs and earning several building design awards. During this time, she developed a specialisation in home renovations, which is now the central focus of her own practice.
Mariana is driven by a passion for addressing clients' specific design challenges and is dedicated to transforming homes. She excels at maximising natural light through passive solar design principles and connecting living spaces to the landscape and natural surroundings of the site. With her wealth of experience and innovative approach, Mariana thrives on the challenge of reimagining existing homes and tailoring them to enhance the lifestyles of their occupants.
She approaches each project with patience and dedication, ensuring she listens attentively to the unique needs of every client. Mariana provides comprehensive guidance throughout the entire design process, fostering strong relationships with a network of trusted consultants on the Gold Coast and in the Tweed Shire to ensure a smooth and seamless building experience that exceeds client expectations.
